I predicted this a couple of years ago and was nearly shouted from the board.

As you should have been, because it will never happen.

But you got to punish the victim....not the predator...because the predator may well be a well heeled individual with connections while the child is a nobody and nobody will complain when they are tossed in prison...

Well, its California. So the predator is almost assuredly a Democrat

Although I loathe the mindset of Cali libs, I do think the OP is a wee bit parsed.

Do you think minors that have sex with each other without money exchanging hands should be arrested?

They should both be arrested for statutory rape.

After all, They are both guilty of having sex with a minor.

If they both knew they could be arrested if anyone found out then they might think twice about doing it.

If they did it anyway then their arrest and prosecution might deter other minors from having sex with each other.

Sorry, but I'm tired of seeing young people getting away with having sex with each other just because they are both minors.

Society doesn't need more underage mothers or more underage pregnant girls getting abortions.

I'd even settle for that major earthquake wiping them out. I work in the film industry and have spent time in Louisiana, North Carolina and Georgia the last ten years. If it ever dries up here in the south, I'll just find another trade or be royally fricked because I refuse to step foot in the liberal wasteland of a state, much less live there.

This was easily predicted.

It is the opposite, actually.

When the rape victim is liable for criminal penalties, it makes it less likely they will come forward and cooperate with law enforcement - making it more likely the rapist is never punished.

So I guess they think child prostitutes aren't as bad for society as someone owning a magazine that holds more than ten rounds?

When has it been suggested that actual rape victims should be liable for criminal penalties?

If a John refuses to pay a female prostitute for her "services" then that's not rape.

It's just not paying the bill for "services" rendered.
