Even democrats have said VMT would gut the middle class and it is a bad idea.

Biden had a photo-op promoting this hot mess, so they have zero fricks to give about the middle class or anyone but the great reset and themselves.
quote:

The stupidest idea, to tax people by the miles they drive; but it's okay because everyone will be driving electric cars...
quote:

Buttigieg said that while gas taxes have traditionally been part of the way the U.S. pays for the Highway Trust Fund, "we know that it can't be the answer forever because we're going to be using less and less gas."
quote:

"If there's a way to do it that doesn't increase the burden on the middle class, we can look at it," Buttigieg said of an increase in gas taxes, "but if we do, we've got to recognize that's still not going to be the long-term answer."

They are going to spend 3 trillion no matter what.

Because he thinks with his rectum.

We already have a gas tax. It's good enough. No more new tax ideas. They can't even manage the money they already get.

Technically, I’m already taxed by the number of miles I drive.

It’s called taxes on Gasoline

Fine for the electric cars, but seems like double taxation for gas powered vehicles.

You know, I might be open to something like this if I had any confidence that the money would be spent wisely.

get ready, when gas is obsolete and their revenue vanishes on gas tax, they're gonna tax electricity in vehicles. it's coming.

I’m pretty sure there are taxes that are already earmarked for this.

Why not go right into these cars?

This is where Trump would have brought us, if anybody.

But forget it, democrats are too dumb to fix the homeless and potholes and ruin entire cities with their politics.

Brilliant idea, Fruittigieg.

Why don't you walk out to sea, instead.

Hey Buttgigger, when you jackarses in DC stop stealing and wasting money, then you can talk about what's enough or not enough.

Until then, do what you do best, and shove it up yer arse.

I have a suggestion. Instead of coming up with new taxes, how about we kick all the moochers who don’t actually need government assistance off of the welfare programs we spend nearly 65% of the budget on.
