Brooklyn shooter who was arrested yesterday won't be charged

“The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing but, at this stage, evidence of self-defense precludes us from filing any criminal charges against the shooter.”
The shot man, Dajuan Robinson, 36, had brought the gun on the train and whipped it out during his attack on a stranger, who shot Robinson in the head as the pair wrestled over it.
Robinson is hospitalized in critical condition.
According to law-enforcement sources, it is not clear whether he will survive.

They got a win only because the shooters gun was taken in the scuffle. I wonder what NY would be claiming if the attacked had his own gun...

Exactly, they don’t mind taking the L on this one. 9 times out of 10, there is no defending yourself.

Considering how difficult it is to get a license to carry in New York, he would either be prosecuted bc he had the gun in the 1st place or let go bc he was politically and monetarily connected enough to get that license. Unless he was an undercover or off duty cop in which case he would be placed under the jail.

The question is if the shooter's wife/girlfriend will be charged for stabbing the guy who got shot before the boyfriend shot the guy who also got stabbed.

So, thus means a minority was doing the self defending.

I agree, but public backlash has been very intense in many of these ridiculous cases that involve people defending themselves.
Maybe they are finally seeing the light?
