Between high school and college I worked in a nursing home, in Lake Chuck, which housed all mental patients, declared insane by the courts. The vast majority were black and also the vast majority were from New Orleans regardless of race. They were given thorazine twice daily to keep them calmed down. Still, we were called to help the nursing staff break up fights almost every day. Care was taken not to let them bite you which all were prone to do.
There was one tall and well built guy, in his 50's, from Hackberry with tertiary syphilis who would always talk about there is going to be a blue nortther tomorrow, and would constantly tell anyone that he could lay out his pecker limp and swipe 12 silver dollars lined up in a row off of a table.
