The following nations were just accepted into their global trade organization by the founding BRICS members.
Bloc adds Saudi Arabia, Iran, Ethiopia, Egypt, Argentina and UAE, another 15-20 nations are waiting for word if they too will be offered membership.
The BRICS nations now control 50% of global oil production and the vast majority of rare earth minerals used for “Green Energy” probably nothing to be overly concerned about.

BRICS - whose acronym was originally coined by an economist at Goldman Sachs, currently comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Deepening geopolitical polarisation in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and China's declining relations with the United States are spurring efforts by Beijing and Moscow to forge BRICS into a viable counterweight to the West. "BRICS has embarked on a new chapter in its effort to build a world that is fair, a world that is just, a world that is also inclusive and prosperous," said South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, who is hosting a summit of BRICS leaders.

We are getting destroyed by Russia and China on the world stage, and morons will still vote for Biden because they don't want the press to call them racist/sexist/transphobe/whatever.

BRICS is much more virtue signaling, at this point, than anything meaningful.

That's not why.

Only way to get back our standing will be WW3. Gonna be hilarious watching elites try to portray the upcoming recruitment drive as some bogus ’morally righteous’ cause.

Cool let’s become energy independent and then they have 50% of nothing. This is too hard for our politicians though

Wishcasting.

Of course it is. It certainly isn't because he's been a good president by any means.

If we stopped dealing with other countries, where would their bribe money come from?

If the EU couldn't upstage the USD, I have no idea why you think BRICS can

That's not really why, either.

So who is? The UK? Germany? France?

The worry is the USD losing a ton of value when these other countries has another option to buy oil. The USD is already weakening.

There are none….the US at one time was that nation.

The US is viewed as a malevolent force by a lot of nations around the world because they see the greed and corruption just as street level Americans do. The US no longer enjoys the perception of being the most just and righteous nation, the US has no moral integrity or authority.

Saudi Arabia, Iran, Ethiopia, Egypt, Argentina and UAE
When did we ever have moral integrity? You think any of the leaders of those countries perceived us a righteous in the past or that any country's leader ship gives a frick about righteousness? Every country is out for themselves and always has been.

India is such a paradoxical country. They seem to be on equally good terms with both the United States and Russia, and many of the middle east nations. They are only openly hostile towards Pakistan and to a lesser extent, China. Their foreign policy seems to be centered around doing what's right for their country and their citizens, and to forget about what other nations think. Western perception be damned.

Impossible. There will always be a "most" in those categories

Too bad several BRICS nations are competing against each other, hate each other, and have many problems. None of the countries in BRICS are team players or have the same goals. BRICS is virtue signaling.

Oh, so commonsense foreign policy

If only we had a similar government. Such a novel idea.

Yeah I do agree. India is always interesting in foreign policy. This will prevent their ability to project anything and protect interests abroad, though.
Good video on India's policy to counter China's Belt and Foad policy
