It goes in the opposite hand to unload the injured side by having them lean away from it. I do this for a living lol.

That seems odd. If you substitute a crutch for the cane, you utilize the crutch by having it under the uninjured side of your body?

A crutch replaces your leg, a cane assists your leg.

No..you lean on the cane.

If you just injured yourself..freshly broken ankle...you have 1 crutch..which arm do up put the crutch under to hobble to the car?

Why aren’t you understanding the difference between a crutch and a cane? He’s told you they are used differently

Crutch usually used on the opposite side as well unless you have restrictions not to hear weight on the affected leg, in which case you’d use two crutches. I know it’s counter intuitive but you guys are going to have to trust me, I’ve been a physical therapist for 8 years.

I don't believe everything I'm told.

Substitute a cane for a crutch in my example. What side would you use the cane on to get to the car?

If you had just broken your ankle and had weight bearing restrictions you’d usually have two crutches to answer your question.

If you badly sprained it you’d have one crutch on the opposite side.

In my example, there is only 1 cane or 1 crutch. Which side would you use either one on to get to the car?

These two must be kicking children during their pizza parties.

Your example is not a real situation dude. If you didn’t have two crutches and weren’t allowed to bear weight on the broken side your only option is a walking boot with crutch on opposite side.

I’ve given you the answer on the correct way to do it accepted by professionals several times. I’m done with this.

If you only have one, it goes on the opposite side. Regardless if it is cane or crutch

You just broke your leg. You have 1 crutch. You need to get to the car. In order to do so, you have to walk. When initiating the first stride, you put the crutch under the uninjured side, so the weight is completely transferred to the broken limb when the second half of a stride is made. Makes sense.

Guess we’ll just take your word for it over the people who do it for a living. Since it makes sense to you.

it is abundantly clear that you just like to argue.

If you had studied engineering (statics) you would understand.

You should always take my word for it, because I'm always right....except for that one time I doubted myself and thought I may be wrong!

You’re going beyond questioning. You’re just arguing because you don’t understand the subject at all, apparently. You did question, and you got answers, you just don’t like them.
