There's a limit, I think it's 10k, where if you loan someone money there has to be a contract to prove it was a loan so that when they pay you back, it's not taxable income. Writing "loan repayment" on the check has no legal bearing.
All Joe and his brother have to do is provide that contract.

where are the lefties from the Trump trial thread who are so gravely concerned about accuracy in financial reporting? I dont recall there being a record of this loan in Joe's tax returns.

It doesn’t say “Bribery Money” in the For section. No evidence of fraud.
