If I remember correctly the Trump hotel in DC was the original US Post office. The tower there is still open for tourist to go up and view DC from above. When we went, there was federal law enforcement security check points to go up inside the tower

Using snipers for this is overkill...literally.
True, and virtually every American was pushing for reform. And then...ANTIFA and BLM displayed MULTIPLE instances of rioting and looting with bouts of violence. These were organized in VERY short order which, at least to me, dispelled any possibility of this being a grass roots movement. To me, this is an organized insurrection. Tonight’s stuff is just seeing how far these group’s can go without push back.
To me, Trump not acting on this situation is going to play out either one of two ways:
He looks weak and inept and loses his base as a result
Or
He looks weak until he acts. Then he goes full Rambo and everyone will say “he warned those stupid fricks repeatedly.”
I would imagine the second version would fire up most Americans (not just his base) in a “Merica...frick yea,” kind of way.
I guess we will see.
As for reform, it still needs to happen. The actions of Biden’s Blue Guard be damned.

I can see this happening if the Andrew Jackson statue is successfully pulled down in the coming days. The optics will be terrible as it sits right in front of the White House. The protesters should have been cleared out as soon as they put the first rope on the statue. It sits on federal land so there is no excuse for not securing it.

I don’t believe so either. However, people have had enough and are more than ready to see a response. I get that. Independent voters on the fence need to be reassured by the base that Trump is a man that handles his business. Inaction in the current climate makes that case more difficult to make.
I hope for the second option. Trump goes Rambo, slaps down some bullies, and rights the ship. As stated, we will see. It is time to put the Blue Guard in check.
