And this exact scenario will play out across packs and troops in the coming months. Just a little background on how they set up dens...They are broken up into dens of 5-10 boys by grade level. 1st is tigers, 2nd wolves, 3rd bears, 4 web1, 5 AOL. What is going to happen is there will be like 6-8 boys join as Tigers to form a den. And only one girl. The girl can't be a den by herself so she joins the boys den. There will not be separated dens even at the onset.

I honestly don't know. I am in my sixth year as a leader and the constant attacks from the professional activist is getting old.
To answer your question about the dens stay separate, I don't know. My best guest is once the dust settles in a few yous they will give the Charter (Sponsors) the option...The BSA can't do too much to piss of the Sponsors because they will fold tent and the BSA will be screwed.
