re: Both parties want their talking points and neither offer real solutions

Sadly I've fought the "truck guns are reckless" war 100 times on this site and people get all up in arms at the idea that they should have any role in keeping criminals from getting their guns from vehicles

Thankfully this board and Louisiana are an aberration on that, in general the gun community is very, very heavily aligned against leaving firearms in vehicles.

Nah, the leading cause of gun-theft is the proliferation of chitty human beings.

We're living the bottom of that slippery slope prophesied in the sixties. The introduction of artificial birth control (aka the Pill) opened a pandora's box. A combination of easy sex with no fear of pregnancy and the widespread acceptance of casual sex led to the systematic destruction of the traditional family. Add the Hollywood tendency to produce movies glorifying sex, violence, and alternative lifestyle, and the dismantling of traditional values was rampant. I know I watched it happen. In my small way, I tried to stop it.

What ensued was mayhem. Explosive STD pandemics, AIDS, and the widespread acceptance of the hooking up culture. Augmented by efforts to break down traditional roles of males and females in society and the decline quickened. Divorce exploded with millions of children left without a father (or mother). Now some of those angry delusioned youth are burning down our cities and killing recklessly.

Now true to their morally bankrupt nature, the corrupt democrats (and RINOs) are exploiting this massacre to call for the confiscation of privately owned weapons.

I am a God-fearing man. I have struggled for decades trying to win one soul at a time for God. I have labored in the inner city, the countryside, and small towns trying to turn the culture away from the horror that unfolded before me. But I will say without hesitation, we must NEVER allow the state to confiscate our weapons. We do that and they will vanquish us and impose their evil ideology upon us.

Hell is the absence of God. And hell is what the far-left liberal democrats have created today. Ironically it is Hollywood screaming the loudest for gun control. The same Hollywood that produced the poison that corrupted the minds and hearts of our youth. NEVER!
