I can see a scenario where the left can continue to put out inflammatory rhetoric and even allow planning talk and tacit approval of assassination under the protection of the first amendment. And any effort to stop assassination talk will be protected under 1A. This is uncharted territory.

Well I'm talking about perhaps thousands of people plotting the assassination of officials with impunity. I don't think that has happened. And it may be there is a simmering revolution happening underneath our noses. And what can be done about it if the other side doesn't want to play?
