Former Intelligence Community Inspector General Charles McCullough III.
A government watchdog who played a central role in the Hillary Clinton email investigation during the Obama administration told Fox News that he, his family and his staffers faced an intense backlash at the time from Clinton allies – and that the campaign even put out word that it planned to fire him if the Democratic presidential nominee won the 2016 election.
“There was personal blowback. Personal blowback to me, to my family, to my office,” former Intelligence Community Inspector General Charles McCullough III said.
The Obama appointee discussed his role in the Clinton email probe for the first time on television, during an exclusive interview with Fox News aired on "Tucker Carlson Tonight." McCullough – who came to the inspector general position with more than two decades of experience at the FBI, Treasury and intelligence community – shed light on how quickly the probe was politicized and his office was marginalized by Democrats.
In January 2016, after McCullough told the Republican leadership on the Senate intelligence and foreign affairs committees that emails beyond the “Top Secret” level passed through the former secretary of state's unsecured personal server, the backlash intensified.
“All of a sudden I became a shill of the right,” McCullough recalled. “And I was told by members of Congress, ‘Be careful. You're losing your credibility. You need to be careful. There are people out to get you.’”
But the former inspector general, with responsibility for the 17 intelligence agencies, said the executive who recommended him to the Obama administration for the job – then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper – was also disturbed by the independent Clinton email findings.

He was told he was the first person who was going to be fired if/when Hillary won the election.

Saw this on TV last night....interesting. Wonder if it gets swept under the rug like everything else.

You mean a POTUS may use the office to settle political scores?
Gee, where have I heard that before?

He was a Intelligence Community Inspector General. Supposedly McCabe and Comey are under investigation of the DOJ Inspector General. Why is it that none of the IG's investigations leaks; yet, Mueller's is nothing but leaks?

He's lucky they were only gonna fire him.

Crazy. Imagine a world where a sitting president decided to fire someone that was in charge of an ongoing investigation looking at people in his campaign?
I’m sure the condemnation of such abuse of power would be swift and fierce regardless of what party the president was in.
Republicans especially, because they genuinely care about presidential ethics and obstruction of justice.

Ive spent months explaining to people that for Hilary to have SAP emails on her server, she commited espionage.
The SAP communications are so critical and so protected they exist only in an offline, hardware wired network. Only a handful of terminals in the most restricted government buildings can access them.
For SAP communications to be removed from that restricted network, it could only be done via literal espionage. I honestly don't even know how it was feasible. Perhaps someone snuck in cameras and the images were uploaded to her email server or the communications were memorized or transcribed and relayed into her email server.
SAP is ABOVE TOP SECRET

Are you talking about Comey? I thought he was fired for incompetence in handling the investigation into Hillary Clinton's e-mails.
Who was Comey looking at in Trumps campaign? Was it Flynn?
Wasn't Flynn fired by the Administration when it was discovered he had probably been into some shady business?

Fired for being too harsh on Clinton.

Read your LINK. Thanks.
The article is kind of confusing. In the opening paragraph, it does say this, but later in the article it says Justice Department officials recommended Comey be fired because he broke procedures by publically discussing the investigation into Clinton's e-mails.
And still later in the article it says Trump and his closest advisors believed Comey went too easy on Clinton, and had given her a free pass.
Very confusing article.
