I'll admit, I've been out of Louisiana for a while now and not real hip to the issue of the Pogy boats. But I was around long enough to see some crybaby fisherman acting just like the douche bag tree hugger nerds, thinking only they were entitled to fish or utilize Louisiana waters and no one else.

You are wayyyy off. All recreational fishermen are asking for is that the pogey boats move further offshore, or maintain the buffer zone they agreed to last year. I DGAF if they produce tax revenue. Muh tax revenue doesn't do shite for us taxpayers anyway

If they agreed to maintain a buffer zone, it seems they should be kept to that agreement. I'll agree there. I'll disagree about tax revenue and jobs. Both are needed in Louisiana. There should be a cost/benefit analysis though. If jobs and tax revenue don't offset the negatives, don't do it.
