I don’t really like the way the definition of “journalist” has been expanded to include anybody with a phone and a Twitch stream, though. Journalists were always supposed to avoid interacting with players and events as much as possible lest they become a part of the story themselves. When you start engaging to the point that you may be affecting outcomes, you’re no longer documenting — you’re participating, and are thus deserving of the same treatment as any other participant.
I don’t have much hope of this resulting in equitable criminal charges regardless, but her family may be able to make a case in civil court that would deter other would-be “citizen journalists” from trying to abdicate responsibility for their own actions by way of a press pass.

Did he have accomplices in the Capitol Police force that allowed protesters uncontested entry into the Capitol complex as many eyewitnesses claim? Did he help direct protesters to a prearranged area where Ashli Babbit was shot?
Too bad the FBI is wholly corrupt. We may never know the full depth of Sullivan’s involvement in the Capitol debacle.
