Might be to clear his record for getting buildings named after him?

He did get a statue in 2018 without much fuss so I don't know if LSU needs much public relations cover. Most people in the area are pretty much at peace with him being generally a decent guy that made a mistake.

And a building is a bit much. A hall or wing in an athletic facility maybe. That would be a good idea. I definitely don't know all the names of buildings across campuses in the country but I don't remember any that were named after former player unless they came back as a coach or school official. Or gave a shite ton of cash. Or was a war hero like Alex Box

Although naming something at the dental school after him might not be a half bad idea

And John Vaught punted on the 3rd most of the night. Guess he was playing not to lose. Who knew?

The TDS sufferers are already out in force on FB crying over it.

FB hell, they are RIGHT HERE.

If it doesn't make any difference why would anybody bitch about it?

Of all the logrolling. unequally applied, money grubbing garbage that makes up our "legal" system, this is not worth bitching about even if I wouldn't do it.

Does the pardon cover only the counterfeiting? Oe does it also cover the "qu--rbaiting"* he and his Istrouma friends did?

Allegedly they were caught doing this and a deal was made -- BC would be let off if he went to LSU instead of TA&M (where Bear Bryant was) as he intended

*Hanging around a public park and waiting for a f@g to come along and try to pick one of them up. Then the others would come out of the bushes and threaten to call the cops/f@g's wife unless he gave them all the cash he had on them.

I once met a guy who claimed he and his HS friends did this in the late '60s -- though he insisted they only did it to humiliate the f@g, and denied shaking them down for money.

He was born in Philadelphia MS. Prolly would have ended up at OM if his paw paw hadn't moved to BR to work in the plants during WWII

I grew up only seeing the punt return pic, and never knew what he looked like. Then a few years ago I saw his hawk-like visage:

And learned he was from Philadelphia, right by the Choctaw Indian Reservation

Why did he deserve a pardon?

If you’re famous, apparently Trump will pardon you.

Ask Jamaal Lewis.
