First, if you have been paying attention to Biden's campaign rhetoric, he has been referring to the former president as "my friend Barack". Not President Obama but just Barack. Second, this morning I hear him in his victory speech "I'm not a socialist Democrat, I'm a Obama-Biden democrat" and of course the nine out of ten black faces in the crowd behind him go wild.

If Biden is so proud to be associated with Obama politically then why hasn't Obama already endorsed Biden?

I don't know what is worse, his pandering or the one-for-all mentality of the black voters in still believing that a Democrat is their saving grace.

What's even more pathetic is that it actually works

I would complain more but he is the only one that could possibly keep Bernie from getting the nomination. Bernie (even though I don't think could beat Trump) scares the crap out of me.

Why does anybody give a frick who Obama endorses?

He broke the law for 8 years. Seems like Biden should separate himself from that guy.

Im not sure what's more pathetic, Biden pandering for the vote or the black people that are still so stupid that they fall for it.

Biden wouldn't stand a chance in hell for the nomination if he distanced himself from Obama. That's why the pandering.

When will black voters actually start thinking for themselves and not just voting as they are told to vote

Sooner or later Obama will endorse him, in the hope someone can stop Trump from further illustrating how awful a president he was

I've been asking this question for 68 years now. I've yet to get an answer.

I'm not sure what the percentage of the black vote we're talking here, but it's surely a very sizeable one that is basically pastors/preachers/reverends "endorsing" a candidate during a Sunday sermon, and every member of the church will vote in line with that endorsement. There's a statewide network of that practice, and that's no doubt a major aspect of Biden's sweeping victory.

I've been involved in such activities at the parish level, and it's a big time system. Each and every member of the entire church(es) of voting age either are or will be registered by whatever election day is involved and they come together to assist whoever may need help getting to the polls.

It's actually a pretty impressive operation. What the candidate does to convince the church leaders, that's left to the imagination.

But as I noticed someone else here mention, it's unlikely that the Biden team could coordinate such an effort in multiple states in a relatively short time period. But who knows, they may be at work for same action in at least one or two others.

According to FOX News, 60% of registered Democrats are black in So. Car.

So that might explain why Biden didn't seem to appear anxious or worried at all leading up to this primary. And Bernie knew better than to waste much effort there. They already had a pretty good idea exactly where the votes were going to be coming from. Those church voters are extremely reliable once their endorsement has been communicated.

Trump was a response to Obama's sorry, America-hating arse.

Let them figure it out in November.

This is the only pathetic part imo. I don't fault him for using what works.
