Forced nationalization and militarization of industry is the end of capitalism and freedom and will usher in Authoritarian Communism which will bankrupt and starve our county and many of our citizens to death.

Maybe he isn’t aware of this, but not even the national guard is capable of filling these gaps.

Even more so if the goober decides to go through with vaccine mandates.

This is like slapping a bandaid on a rocket launcher wound.

a waste of time stall tactic, unless the national guard buys 3 year or newer energy compliant trucks to haul the goods.

the green new deal sucks.

Why not force people to go back to work?

The government created the original problem, then it uses government to supplant private industry. What could go wrong?

I think that’s their answer for everything, trying to condition the sheep to it. Then, when they become the police force, or go door to door looking for firearms, the people will be used to it.

The National Guard is of no material use in that situation. Also, its not just the supply chain (depending on definition), its the means of production.
The logistics is only one of many problems.

How exactly do they think this will work. The NG couldn't get supplies into Southeastern Louisiana during Katrina with their own logistics and equipment.

So, let me get this right, NG gets deployed and sent to companies to work for free?

Yeah you can’t shoehorn people with no training, skills, or experience in a position and expect everything to still function. I’ve heard talk of using national guard to deal with nursing shortage. Explain how that’s supposed to work??

Its so bizarre its comical.

The military generally doesn't even move their own stuff around or the own personnel's equipment, most of it is contracted out.

Its a PR stunt or in the alternative, very delusional people.

What next, send the NG to Taiwan to help in computer chip production?

Is Plugs going to force them to sleep on the floor in underground parking garages? Or in the hallways of warehouses?

Will they have to eat fried chicken sprinkled with metal shavings? Inquiring minds want to know.

Effectiveness is not a primary concern with these people. This much has been proven repetitively.

I think our Secretary of Transportation would enjoy tapping the national guard.

I know a recently promoted admiral that wouldn’t mind.

I am not even concerned with effectiveness. The bodies don't exist. The National Guard doesn't have enough warm bodies to drive the trucks, unload the ships, and address nursing shortages. Among other boondoggles they will be expected to support.
