This post is NOT specific to Biden or to the southern border.
I HATE politicians wasting time and resources on trips to “hot points“ that are nothing more than glorified photo ops.
You do not “learn” more by physically appearing at the border, or at the hurricane, or at the fire, than you would learn by reading a report on it while you stay at your desk and address other pressing matters.

I have to admit I do find it most amusing that a man as intelligent as you thinks Joe Biden sits at his desk addressing pressing matters.

The dems know this is a big talking point and they will avoid this subject at all costs.. even lying (big surprise).. There is historic numbers of migrants crossing the border and the dems want to act like it is nothing..

I agree as well. Logistically, I don’t think it matters either.
But doing ZERO about it ever AND not going there ever is not a good look. If he never went, but made huge strides to make the border more secure, that would be another thing altogether.
Plus, if the shoe were on the other foot, you know damn well an R would be getting roasted for not going by the media as “callous, heartless, etc” CONSTANTLY

And showing up at your child's athletic event doesn't actually help them win their game - but it's the right thing to do to show that you care what is going on in their lives.

Anytime there is a disaster we expect a governor/president to see it in person to get the scale of what is happening. Fly over in a helicopter etc. Maybe Joe could see the scale of what is going on and it will impact him. Obviously reading briefings has no effect on him.
