Good. He wont be able to use Covid as an excuse to hide in his basement. Newsom would destroy Trump. Without DeSantis running, Biden running again is the best scenario.
Let me edit to say this. I would love for Trump to come out, win and wreck shop, but the fact is, he's not popular with the suburban white moms. His chances of winning are less than Ron.

I actually think he’d lose to DeSantis in a squeaker. But then again a highly contested primary (Trump?) could change that calculus. Two years is an eternity in politics.

I just cannot see him making it that long. To be honest, I never expected them to leave him in place this long. He has declined significantly since taking office, and the process just speeds up as you go. I’ve watched this happen with someone close to me, and it was easily recognizable in Biden during the 2020 campaign. His family should be ashamed of themselves for allowing him to stay in this situation, though I doubt they are.
