on this very page you have one telling DB that he is going to "grovel" before Christianity

It makes sense that you would need to lie to present your argument. Lies are the only counterpoints to Christianity.

Only if you're completely ignorant of history.

Wow. It's amazing how people will state complete lies with such certainty.

Pray for more gray matter, and try reading the Bible and learn a little history before you respond with accusations of lies without any counter arguments or supporting evidence. Your are a child who says “nuh uh” with fingers in the ears.

Prove me wrong in front of the board. Find any claim of someone saying “I saw” or “appeared to me” - claims of a first person account of a witness to a real Jesus. Other than Paul, there are no first hand eyewitness accounts, and Paul only claims to have witnessed Jesus after he was resurrected. Maybe you don’t understand “eyewitness” or “first person”. Look them up.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The New Testament is filled with eyewitness accounts. Your claims are so absurd that no one makes them. A simple web search would show anyone how grossly mistaken you are.

There is no reason for me to attempt to prove anything to you. It's more effective to allow you to continue to deny the obvious.

That being said, I will throw you a bone and point out the most glaring and obvious problem with your claim: the author of the book of John is John the Apostle. It is his eyewitness account.

The only first hand eyewitness account is by Paul.

Or you could, ya know, read the Bible.

It’s because you can’t. We all know the obvious.

Ok this should be good!

Aww I am disappointed. That may what you believe, but for a skeptic, you should try providing evidence so that you can attempt to produce a convincing argument. So far you have failed. I’ve read the gospel according to “John” many times. Have you? I never saw anything written in there about the author claiming to be an apostle, or a man named John. There’s no first hand eyewitness account… “I saw”, “I did”… there’s no “Jesus appeared to me”. It’s apparent you don’t know what a first hand eyewitness account is. The gospel according to John was written as a third hand non-eyewitness account after all the original 12 apostles were dead. The Catholic Church, after adopting all four gospels (which were all unnamed with no claimed authorship) simply assigned names to the texts in the late second century.

Apart from Paul’s writings, the only other reference to eyewitnesses were in the first chapter of Luke. The author states that there were eyewitnesses who sometime in the past transferred the accounts of what happened to “us”, and that he was compiling his own gospel based on what had been passed down. He was not an eyewitness and expressly denied being an eyewitness.

Paul is the only claimed first hand eyewitness to Jesus’ existence, and it was after Jesus had already died and resurrected (allegedly).

How can you mock Christianity and then turn around and say you want to go back to the foundation of this country? Surely there’s some atheist paradise country out there we can emulate instead since our founding documents are theistic.
