quote:That in a 9mm looks like all anyone would need. What about a belt holster but wearing a cover up; light jacket, blazer, that gives quick access but doesn't call attention to you? We are an open carry state but to me, that just seems like trouble in the times we live.
It’s just a Sig P938 that I bought due to it’s relatively small size. Any recommendations on better options are also appreciated!

Holsters are a rabbit hole. It depends on if you want to carry inner waistband, outer waistband, or abdominal inner waistband. Plus there are a variery of materials to choose from. You will likely end up with several holsters because you really won't know if you like one until you use it.

CTAC holster
Been wearing one of these for 12 years for a subcompact glock. Keeps gun close, can tuck a shirt in over the gun if that’s your thing.

A good kydex for belt carry or a sticky holster for no-belt carry. I've got a right hand and left hand draw kydex and a sticky. Ya never know.

What others have said, be prepared to buy several. I’ve been lucky in that I like most of the ones I have and use different ones for different attire and circumstances. My go to is an AlienGear Cloak tuck IWB. My second is one that a local guy made, just a very simple Kydex OWB. I also have an ankle holster I use when I’m at work. I think it’s a DeSantis.

the ShapeShift from aliengearholsters.com would be nice for a sig p938.
my preference is to open carry whenever possible.. much more comfortable and natural to me.
when going to my office...or really anywhere potentially infested by hippies...i'll carry a small 9mm carbide concealed in a briefcase or backback (too)
if i couldnt open carry.... i'd stick a 380 in holster for a small fanny pack.

I’m a fan of alien gear holsters. There tuck models are pretty good

I have been carrying concealed for many years. I have tried multiple different IWB holsters, and the one that I always fall back on is the DeSantis Sof-Tuck.
LINK
I have multiple different carry guns, and I have this holster for each one.
It’s soft, and has decent retention.
Not to thick, so it doesn’t print and sticks to your waist.
They have pretty much every gun covered that is compact and smaller.
Remember though, carrying a gun isn’t about comfort, it’s about saving your life and the lives of others.

Best I’ve seen. I like to use the gym shorts test; if I can carry with my gym shorts it works best. No clip, no bulk, just pop it in and you’re ready for a MFer if they try anything.
