Why would I harbor an illegal alien? I want the law followed. All illegal aliens should be deported. I have never said anything different about that.
I posted this because I thought people would be interested, not because I agreed with blocking the deportation. FWIW, I think Perez will still be deported soon.

In the Bruen case Chief Justice Thomas stated that the 2 step process is now replaced by duty to provide history, text and tradition.
The 2 Step Process was in essence, a way to pass unconstitutional measures, or rulings, based off harm to the public. Rather than if the ruling was constitutional.
But this is where I don't know. Because it's immigration.
And the only immigration cases that I have even remote knowledge of is when my father LEGALLY brought my mother here when he served overseas.

I don't think it changes the outcome much in this case. I don't see Perez overcoming the final deportation notice.
He should be outta here soon.

Right on
it's a VERY historical game changing ruling, by Thomas. It SHOULD change the landscape in the sphere. Sadly too many judges just simply ignore it. 
What I see is an activist judge siding or aiding him. Then DHS appeals the decision and the activist judge gets overruled.
It's a delay more than anything else, IMO.
The fact that they want to have him released makes it pretty clear they want to shadow him. (Fade him away into hiding).

Oh! Yeah. Good mention, I'd forgotten about that part.
5th circuit has been good to us, on a lot of issues.
