In july of 1993, bill clinton, like trump, suffered from a horribly leaky white house, staff controversy, low approval ratings, and his health care initiative getting laughed off the stage.

He managed to muster the troops and recover.

Why can't trump?

What did Bill Clinton accomplish from january of 1993 to july of 1993?

Bill Clinton is and was a great politician. You may disagree with his positions but he was a good communicator and never came across as a bull in a china shop like Trump is today.

Clinton also had one negative even that really screwed his approval early on (Waco). Once that faded into memory his approval increased.

Trump's crashing approval is a result of just pure ineptitude and a never ending series of blunders.

Clinton suffered a lot early on because he wanted to allow gay people to serve in the military, something only the most bigoted would argue against today.

Trump is suffering because he is a compulsive liar who attacks everyone who doesn't kiss the ring.

Ones got a smoking hot wife and isn't a rapist, the other one is married to Hildabeast and doesn't catch cap for all his Russian collusion!

Trump nominated Gorsuch for USSC.
Clinton nominated Lannie Guinear. She advocated that blacks get 5 votes for every vote a white person gets.

Trump puts cigars in his MOUTH...

And achieved more in his first 6 months than Clinton did in 8 years (and without bringing all the slime and sleaze to The Oval Office).

At this point Hillarycare hadn't even been introduced to the public. It was still just a work in progress. It was a late 93 dud. I don't remember any major staff controversies.

Why won't some of you answer the question?

What major piece of agenda did clinton get through early on?

His speeches lasted 2 hours with a 5 minute dedication to 100 topics to special interests. When he said 'And finally..." the crowd burst out in applause. He was a HORRIBLE speaker.

I kind of like this analogy because it implies Trump's major policy win will be a watered down version of what the Democrats want when they sweep the 2018 midterms.

Universal catastrophic baby!

Travelgate occurred immediately. He fired a guy who had worked for a ton of presidents of both parties. Billy Dale.
Reason for firing.. he wanted to reward an Ark crony with the job.

We can disagree on how good he was but we should be able to agree that he's better than Trump.
