No current algorithm given all the computing power in the universe could become sentient.
Deep Learning has fundamental limits, Cosine Similarity has fundamental limits.
We can see these limits.
A new algo would need to be developed for General AI that does not reach a limit.
They are incapable of synthesizing new information.
Even in Pharma, which is at the forefront of "discovery" by AI, it's about likening new compounds to previous compounds with known effects.
