This is what Nixon was doing in the seventies.
If only we had the same engaged media from the seventies.
Exactly, Nixon was impeached and he resigned. Obama just flashes a smile and wink and the press melts.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Liberal progressives will remain in control for the foreseeable future. Every conservative should be focused on a Constitutional Convention for the purpose of imposing term limits. We are in this mess due to establishment politicians. There should also be minimum qualifications for POTUS including some level of military service. It is beyond absurd to have a Commander In Chief who has not served in the military.

This is one of the reasons why I don't think government employees should be allowed to vote.
Add to that the people who have no visible means of independent support and you have my philosophy to a tee.

Its not just about expanding government, its about expandion of the power that government has, especially individuals at the highest level of government.
Once again, how did this begin with Bush?
Had no other President pushed the limits of govermental control?
Here's a hint: read history.

Ive read plenty of history, thank you. If you are so well read, why dont you tell us all about it.
I know about Presidents expanding government. What you fail to comprehend intellectually is that the power that the current President has now has 10 fold increased since he has become President and its because he and his administration have crossed that line that other Presidents wouldnt.

The main reason he has been able to do that is because of the compliant media that the Democrats use to control the message.
The media has been instrumental in controlling the government in the past. It is not doing that now and as long as that is the case, there will be another president like Obama

My thoughts are this:
Keep voting Democrat, America.
We are almost there.
Elections have consequences. The US electorate is getting exactly what it voted for. You put New Left Radical ideologues in power, and, you get New Left policies and ideology -- which are both totalitarian.

I get so tired of people beating this horse.
The National Guard is a component of the US Army/USAF. Same as regulars and reservists are components of said services. NG is subject to call-up at any time, same as the other two components.
The fact that NG WASN'T called up as much during Vietnam doesn't negate the fact that IT COULD'VE HAPPENED AT ANY TIME. You weren't getting off scot-free. The risk was always there.
