I've lived in Cary and very familiar with it. The locals say Cary stands for Concentrated Area of Relocated Yankees. Cary is a "small" town outside of Raleigh. Its population exploded in the 80s and 90s because of growing jobs in RTP.

Lol. I lived in Cary for 16 years. My son graduated from Cary high. This is kinda funny if this Really happened there. Nothing happens in this town. Complete beige suburbia!
ETA: by beige I mean housing is all the same. No character. The rules and restrictions are overkill.

I am glad not much happens here.
Cary HS is full of liberal teachers...the indoctrination is legit.
That said, he is a good teacher...

Yesterday afternoon my wife and I were out and decided to have a beer at a brewpub in downtown Cary. We went our normal route and turned a corner and ended up in the middle of a peaceful protest.
There were hundreds of people on one side of the street holding signs, with police holding them at bay. As we continued on our way the police gave the “slow” sign and 10 or so peaceful protestors ran out in the road and blocked our way. We turned around and the crowd erupted in cheers. Then, more people blocked our way, and a cop came up and told us to honk the horn. As we were stopped I saw cell phones held up recording everything. When we honked the horn, the peaceful protestors got up out of the road as other peaceful protestors cheered and we went on our way
This really shook up my wife. The mob could have rushed the car and tipped it over, but it is Cary after all. I was pissed because it all seemed staged for social media.
