What denomination would make NYC the best career choice?

Trivia tidbit: At the end of the novel (not the movie) Elmer Gantry the titular evangelist (an outright villain in the book) moves to the big time for a man like him: NYC

But that was 100 yrs ago

Good reference to Gantry...I had forgotten that.

As for my pastor's son, sorry for the confusion. The son is a symphony conductor.

Good question about a denomination in NYC...Unitarian/Universalist maybe?

Just a hunch but I think come Election Day you’ll see that his popularity among true New Yorkers is nowhere near what it purports to be. There are simply too many New Yorkers that were affected in some way by 911 to ever support the things he’s saying and doing.

Those morons welcomed the third world en masse and gave them sanctuary against federal immigration laws, only require last four digits of ssn to register to vote, and don't require IDs to vote. Mamdani is going to win.

Personally I think it's great. The mayor has little to no power outside of the city and is somewhat beholden to the governor for a lot of things.

When Mamdani crashes and burns the city the governor will be forced to cast him aside or risk her already perilous position. In fact I don't see a scenario where this doesn't happen.

I see no downside to him getting elected.

The governor flat out endorsed him, which could very well cost Dems in statewide elections.
