I liked Tillerson a lot. He should have fired Sessions if he wanted to get rid of someone Tillerson was a good dude who literally only served the government because asked, the guy was gonna retire from Exxon and just live in peace.

I've got no clue on foreign policy and diplomatic negotiations. I am not experienced enough to make a judgement call on this yet.

If it works, great! Trump gets another vote from me in 2020. If not, then I'll have to re-evaluate.

On its face, it seems like a head scratcher.

I'm not going to get apoplectic over it, though.

I mean, he's "gotten rid" of a lot of people so far, and I'm not sure how that's made anything worse or even changed anything at all. Hell, if you don't think the federal government should be doing much, a lot of turnover seems to be a good way to insure that is the case.

Tillerson's hiring didn't come out of the blue. He was recommended by former Sec of State's Condi Rice and Jim Baker, two people with better knowledge and experience than Il Douche.

I am disappointed. Tillerson did a lot of good house cleaning that was needed without a lot of media BS

However, it is very hard for two business CEO alphas to coexist running the same company

Tillerson wasn't awesome, but he was better than the shitbag NEOCONs that were being talked about for the job. Now we have Mike Cuckeo, John Bolton's political cousin.

I liked the Tillerson hire. I'm disappointed he didn't stick around longer.

Tillerson inherited a snake pit at State. I thought he was doing yeoman's work cleaning out those vipers but I trust Trump must have specific and good reasons for the change.

What is your particular concern as far as the philosophical direction of the State Department with regard to this change?

I find the way that Tillerson comes across to be generally agreeable and he is a likeable politician in that sense. I've never worked with him and don't know anything about how he is away from cameras.

If the dude isn't MAGA 100% he needs to go, same with anybody else. I didn't vote for Rex Tillerson.

I don't know anything about why he was fired, so I cannot say one way or the other.

I liked Tillerson, and particularly what he was doing to slay the bureaucracy at State, so unless he did something wrong (leaked, undercut Trump, etc.), I don't like this.

Cuckeo is an all-in NEOCON. Aggressive, militarized foreign policy decisions that leads to mistakes like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Iraq again, Libya, Niger, Somalia etc. We have enough pressure to act recklessly in these places coming from the DoD. I want the DOS, above all others, to come up with out of the box, diplomatic and cooperative solutions for the problems in those places.

Instead, our DOS has been a hell hole of statist, marxist shitbags who want the US in everyone's shite and have been a doormat for US DoD since 2001. Tillerson cleaned fricking house, even If I'm not 100 percent on board with him. At least he recognized the ongoing waste and the rotten culture there.

Why would I even bother speculating as to an opinion with such limited knowledge of the situation? Or you or any of us for that matter?

No problems at all.

Maybe so. But what does being a good dude have to do with it?

If They had a big difference over some foreign policies, then Trump had every right and need to replace him.

Don't see the big deal here.
