This is a very excellent and interesting comment. It’s safe say the microbrew bars, coffee shops and Pakistani/Indian owned gas stations would tend to vote Democrat. I’ll play devils advocate and say even if big cities had Republicans running government you still would have riots due to shops being there to be pillaged and burnt. But going back to backing you up, these shop owners and liberals who’s area got sacked will move out of the city or state to a more red voting area only to go vote in the same shithead politicians that ruined their former homeland.

Mingled in those burning businesses is the hard work of decent law-abiding folks. Some are minority businessmen and women. I don't relish the destruction of a person's life work.

I agree. As a resident of the mostly sane part of California we get lumped in with the crazies in the Bay and SoCal. But in reality we have next to nothing in common with them other than the state we reside in. The good people in the areas most likely to be looted and burn need to take extreme measures to protect their businesses and residences if it gets that far.
