It seems to me that the progressives are very satisfied with their vote. The only way to rebuild this country their way is to tear it down first.

I am not so far left in the social issues to qualify as a socialist, not even close. Hate woke stuff, etc.
And I couldn't care less if the government wants to check out anything about me. BRING A WARRENT and go right ahead. Check my books, my bank and smell my poop for all I care. But what I DO NOT want (and neither should you) is for them to be allowed to listen to my calls with no warrent, follow what I do at a library without probable cause, have the bank snitch every time I order something online. (I have nothing to fear, all I order is food and underwear - but what if I want to order a book that is against the cops? or the government? No way).
I don't know how to get it through to you that it is a question of principle. By the way for consistency I say I have no problem cops pulling people over who are swerving, etc. But I hate as a matter of principle the traffic stop "just to check if you have been drinking sir", I think that is a gross violation of the constitution. I have worked on death penalty issues and I know two things 1) Never trust a defense attorney 2) Never trust a prosecutor.
I don't know why you don't get this totally simple notion about civil liberties.

Famine will certainly play a huge role in creating chaos. Inflation and supply chain issues will ensure it.
