Trump asked/warned Russia not to escalate after Trump won the election. What has Putin done since then? Launched massive bombing attacks on Ukraine and increased the tempo of the ground war so much that Russia suffered > 10,000 casualties. Why do you people only want the defender to stand down? Why do you people not care about Russia escalating the war?

I'm fairly certain that the Biden-Harris administration have given Trump and his team a waiver for the Logan Act. If Trump did not have a waiver the dems would not need Trump to speak to Putin to lay that framework. They could use his conversation with Zelensky in which the two discussing laying the ground work for peace, or one of the other other conversations that he has had with world leaders since Election Day.
