What a ridiculous assumption.

That actually is an issue I believe Trump is missing an opportunity on. I have no doubt it will be used as a wedge once the race heats up a bit more.

And more strides need to be made in feeding the hungry in America.

Bernie will stop the wasteful spending, feed the hungry and make college free.

The income from legalizing weed will be substantial to the economy.

Many brilliant economists think there is credibility there so to dismiss it as ignorant is well ignorant.

Yeah the VA is socialized healthcare for veteranS

Well, good news, we are spending even more at the VA than ever before
so the govt has tried to take on health care for veterans and done a shitty job. Let’s make them the only healthcare game in town!!!! it will get sooo much better once we add 320 million more people.

It blows my mind how much government some people want in their lives. The same govt that couldn’t stop 100K people from crossing the southern border each month, the same inept govt that couldn’t keep a man on suicide watch from comitting suicide. And people keep clamoring for corrupt Uncle Sam to encroach on more facets of our lives. Boggles my mind.

How much does the US spend feeding the hungry now and what number should it be?

How would this work?

Okay. Let me rephrase - Most republicans support medicare. So it's hard to go from supporting one program to calling the expansion of such a program "radical." I mean, yeah, it's more significant and you can disagree with it. But radical?
It is absolutely radical.

and it is not simply "expanding medicare".

First off, what bernie is proposing is NOT medicare.

medicare involves copayments, deductbles, and premiums. And does not cover vision nor dental, and doesn't cover numerous medical services. Bernie wants to give americans coverage that has ZERO cost sharing and covers every single medical treatment, including dental and vision. That isn't medicare.

Likewise, medicare is only available for those who have paid taxes for it their entire working lives. Bernie's medicare for all would provide coverage for people regardless of if they paid into it.

But the biggest point is this my dude:

It would amount to the government essentially taking over an entire industry (health insurance) that employs hundreds of thousands of people. That is radical. I am not aware of anything akin to that in our history.

Well Trump requested more funding for the VA. How many threads do we have criticizing that? None. That’s the point. It’s not about the policy. It’s about the person pushing the policy.
its not like trump can snap his fingers and fix this. It’s an example of everything government touches, they frick up. But yall blame trump like he should just allow the disastrous situation he inherited to go tits up... like the media wouldn’t blame him for that, too.

Just like most situations Trump finds himself in in DC, damned if does, damned if he doesn’t.

Obviously not enough since there are over 15 million in poverty.
