re: Any 9/11 stories from posters on here?

On June 6, 2001 I took my wife and 2 kids to the top of the World Trade Center. My brother in law and sister were with us too. He was a photographer and took some pictures which hang in my office today. After doing the typical tourist stuff we went down the elevator and left the building. As we were walking out I turned to them and said, I guess it’s not our turn to die. They said what do you mean? I told them today was D Day and that the Arabs use days with significance to blow up places like the World Trade Center. At the time I’m sure they thought I was crazy but three months later it happened. In retrospect maybe they had June 6th circled but the stars didn’t line up that day to execute the plan.

Was 7. Probably the youngest age group to actually remember 9/11. One of my brothers who’s 10 years older than me joined the marines shortly after. Grew up not to far from Shanksville.

Islam is an evil religion and I have no respect for any of its followers, regardless of anyone’s opinion of what really occurred 25 years ago.

I went to top restaurant in 1990. Had to rent a suit jacket for $50. Bad food but the view was simply amazing. I could never work in a tall building unless I had a glider chute under my desk. Some don’t realize but no elevator goes all the way. They go in stages and you have to get off to get in another. Thats why so many took stairs. But they were packed with firemen coming up whole they went down. Chaos.

Was stationed at Kunsan AB ROK when I was awakened for a squadron recall and had to report for work at 2-3 am Korea time. Initially thought it was a movie when I saw news reports on Armed Force Network. Every Security Forces Airman was as posted somewhere or on response force standby. Never Forget the victims of terror attack on America ????
