Ah. The "both sides" argument.
So we are all crazy for speculating that antifa and blm are, in some cases, committing arson based on some common sense and circumstantial evidence. But you! You are the sane one as you smugly suggest (with zero logic or context) that it could actually be right wingers trying to set up the antifas.
fricking brilliant
Actually you missed the point completely...no doubt due to your need to remain ever watchful lest the boogeyman get you. I am not nor have I ever seriously suggested the right is setting fires to make ANTIFA look bad...I mentioned it in the same way all of you are saying it is without doubt ANTIFA who is setting fires and cutting down power poles.
And what value is there in common sense? I hear this all the time from the right, praising the virtues of something they themselves label as common. What you would prefer is uncommon sense....common things have less value than uncommon things. Come down with a common cold and you merely have a cold...come down with an uncommon cold and lo and behold its a pandemic. Maybe preferred sense would be the route to pursue....like common and preferred stock the latter is more valuable. Common law marriage...viewed as less meaningful than simple marriage. Only in the use of "sense" is common the preferred type of anything....and it is because it means what most people hold as a truth...ignoring the fact that most people hold a lot of stupid shite as truths and always have....but if you agree with them the sense is common and therefore preferable to uncommon or preferred sense.

I believe the fires in question are in Oregon, fricko.
Probably, only Trump or Bush would be that geographically challenged to take the governor of california to task for something that is only occuring in Oregon or start a 18 year and running war in 2 countries, realiatinig for the 9/11 attacks when neither country had a thing in the world to do with them. Is it the GOP???? Do they just struggle with maps???

That's an overly verbose way to say you are upset that someone put words in your mouth, right after you put words in everyone's mouth.
Stupid shines right through the vocabulary friend.

Any limit?
Ain't none of y'all gonna take these two to task for thinking and sayingit'd be alright to kill someone who disagrees with them but the professor idiot who said it'd be ok to kill fascists, that dude was wrong???? Y'all are like a bunch of muslims, never saying boo about a terrorist attack.

Why do people always want to post shite on social media? I mean a receipt worthy of a FB post?

No one put any words in my mouth...or anything else, thank the christ. What someone did was swing and miss completely at the thought that the GOP was setting wildfires and cutting down power poles to make ANTIFA look bad. I am sure that person was busy looking over their shoulder for the boogeyman and is due some consideration for that....its hard to read and fend off the boogeyman at the same time.

Slow down.
Connecting Antifa to it seems pretty weak.
But if it is Antifa, you should be happy. Wherever there is some moron trying to cut down a 12,000 volt power line, Darwin and Murphy are going to be close, close by.

From Washington.

quote:
Corrected: This article has been updated and corrected to indicate that while the alleged suspect has posted support for leftist radicals on social media and attended BLM protests, he has not been confirmed as an Antifa member. On Wednesday evening a Washington man named Jeffrey Acord called 911 to report a fire on the side of SR-167 near Pallyup, Washington.
quote:
After calling the police, Mr. Acord then set to live streaming himself to his Facebook Page. The video was later posted to YouTube. During the video you can see the police question Acord and after a period of time, the video ends as they arrest him for Reckless Burning 2nd Degree.
quote:
Back in 2014 Seattle Officers reported that Jeff Acord had a 7-inch knife in his backpack, a box of ammunition, an assault rifle, a shotgun, and a box full of large fireworks in his car when he was arrested at a BLM protest.

I’m sure you posted this with a good pat on your back....thinking you’re trying to sound intelligent.
But this was nothing but absolute word-vomit.

You make me sad that down votes down count for anything on here.
And that we share a college team fandom, but mostly the DVs.

“But there’s no evidence these Antifa and BLM members were setting fires in the name of Antifa!”

You can bet your arse if somewhere on his Social Media History he made the passing comment "Eh, Trump's not that bad", the MSMedia would be calling him an "alt-Right Trump supporter".

This point can't be overstated.
The MSM is absolutely providing narrative cover for these anarchist filth who are taking the opportunity to rain terror on the PNW countryside.

I don't doubt that he set the fire for which he was arrested.
What indication is there that he chainsawed down the power lines as described in the OP? Those are two different things.

None, which is one reason I started most post off with “from Washington”. At some point during the thread one of the posters indicated it was ridiculous to think any of these fires were being started by Antifa. The information I posted seems to contradict that.
quote:
ALl indications are that there is no indication that any wildfires have been started as a political statement....none, nada, zilch. They are as common as afternoon thunderstorms on the coast in the area...yet y'all are convinced a bunch of soy sipping cucks are in the middle of a revolt LOL....talk about some stupidity. If being a commie means not being skeered of the boogeyman than sign me the frick up!

Only the Sith deal in absolutes.
Sadly, I'd rather deal with a Sith Lord or two than the current crop of liberal degenerates who are glossing over the actions of this lawless band of gutter trash who are merely looking for an excuse to sow mayhem.

The reports were untrue at first.. but that was the point. To give them the idea.
Nobody knows if it was antifa, boogaloo bois, or just randoms who get arrested for arson every single year.

ISIS video from late July calls for arson attacks across US.
h/t Frank Black for thread with this info.
Sure does put these images in perspective, doesn't it?

quote:
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new video released by ISIS terrorists urges followers in America to begin a campaign of arson attacks. The four minute-long video is the first new marching orders in a long time from ISIS' propaganda wing, pushing followers to fight fire with fire, literally.
The animated tightly-produced video is entitled "Incite the Believers" and many of the scenes are engulfed in flames and, as with previous terrorist "message" videos, it encourages violent criminal acts against Western civilization. This time, ISIS is encouraging followers to start fires for maximum damage and carnage.
In Arabic, the narrator encourages followers to use cigarette lighters, matches and gasoline to start fires in places where they won't be detected in retribution for U.S. combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan the past nearly two decades.

Kelso, WA - Man caught setting fire to shrubbery, thanks to video surveillance.

Again, if there's an established Arson Season, then we can revisit the premise, but until then...
