He could blow the Dems collective mind by Replace a Ginsberg or Breyer with Garland.

Truth is Garland is almost a Kennedy. For Ginsberg he would still be an addition by subtraction.

He would not leave until he was replaced.
He would announce his retirement. But would not leave the bench until his replacement was in.

replace Ginsburg w/ Merrick Garland
It would be the ultimate troll.
Replace Kennedy with Janice Rogers Brown, Thomas with Larsen, Breyer with Pryor.

By the way.
Roberts isn't hard right, hell he is barely even right anymore.
Since 2012. Roberts has voted thusly..,
Roberts has voted with Stephen Breyer (90 percent), Ruth Bader Ginsburg (85 percent), and Sonia Sotomayor (83 percent) more often than he has joined Thomas (66 percent), Kennedy (74 percent), and Alito (77 percent)

Good.
Most libs don't like that, but they aren't thinking through the implication. "Living constitution" might get them what they want today. It can come back to bite them tomorrow.
If the law means what it says, then you know exactly what you need to do to achieve your policy goal: enact the necessary statute, or if the Constitution prohibits that, make the necessary amendment.
If the courts can arbitrarily decide that the law and Constitution don't really mean what they say, then the let's own pet issues are at risk.

How good would this be?
The MSM's heads are collectively exploding about now.

I want to see 25 year staunch conservatives appointed to all the Federal courts.
That would send many of 'em to the nut house.

Looks like a gump but what the heck.
42 and a good conservative, I will take it.

As long as Trump continues to nominate originalists like Gorsuch, I'm down for the whole court to retire and/or kick the bucket.
