That’s how media pretends the world views America. The World Cup destroyed that narrative. Video after video of people from multiple different countries told the same story.

Based on interviews with tourists and fans for World Cup, I don't doubt there is some truth to the perception -- of course it's propagated by the MSM - both here and abroad.
