The economy is going through something called a secular shift.

Is that why we are revising GDP down?
Because we are buying everything we can?

The American people aren't buying more of all things.

Yes, they may have bought more home improvement goods, pet supplies, or electronics during the COVID shutdown.

But there is no way there is an overall increase in all areas of spending. It's just coming from companies who have near zero inventory and ship everything.

And globally, the supply chains are fouled up. You can't take a machine with this many moving parts and throw a handful of ball bearings in it and expect it to restart immediately. Especially when people get used to not going to work.

I work in retail and our sales are absolutely through the roof I don’t know how much profit is actually being made due to inflation. It’s hard to keep stuff on the shelves with how much people are actually buying it’s insane.

I imagine we'll all suffer for a decade or more, until someone finally realizes we need to make shite in this hemisphere.

That's right. And nobody wanted refrigerators or cars before the child molester took office.

and furniture. Wife and I have been waiting on furniture and we don't know when it's coming in. We ordered it months before Ida too. I can only imagine how long people will have to wait now.

I neglected to mention tires. Everyone couldn’t wait to buy tires with their Brandon bucks. That’s why many models are out of stock.
