Am I wrong that when I hear friends/family/TDers say any combo vote, voter, registration,

etc... that I laugh and call them fricking losers?
I mean, like I have a visceral disbelief reaction to anything related to voting.
Am I the only one?
Anyone believing anything about votes is an abject idiot, right?

In my opinion: Voting actually does still very much matter in local elections and state elections and maybe even federal congressional elections.
It as absolutely worthless in federal presidential elections after 2020.
The trick is Americans are so woefully ignorant and pathetically failed in basic civics we don’t understand as a society how important our local and congressional elections are.
Everyone can name their executives. Mayor, Governor, President. And most vote for them.
What percentage can name a single federal congressional rep? How about a state or local rep? What percentage shows up for those elections in an non-federal presidential election year?
This country is supposed to function with the powerful and diverse legislative branch voting on laws and the executive branch carrying out those laws and the judicial branch settling disputes. With the states acting as checks to the feds through the senate and the house. We should be much much more concerned about who is in our congress than who is in our White House.
But we’ve morphed into a perverted system where the federal party in charge governs through the executive branch with a rubber stamp from a limp wristed legislature and an impotent judiciary. We have a faux-two party country and behind the scenes it’s the same party and the same people. We desperately need to break away from all the faith we have in a shitty two party federal system with the executive branch at the head

I always vote. I have since 1980
I also think the chance of my vote making a difference is about the same as me winning the lottery.

Yep. It's the local cucks that graduate to being the federal cucks. We need to start priming the pump.

No, I'm going to keep voting. I'm not one of those "all is lost" pussies that seem to grow on trees now.

My opinion is people get the government they deserve. Not me or you but the country as a whole.
I worked in hospitals my career.Whole lot of college educated people and most had no clue about our government or any thing about it.Nor,did they care.I doubt very many even voted. They just assumed the nice lives we lived, the prosperity we enjoyed was the way it was always going to be.
I think what’s coming is going to be a great shock to many.

I distrust the results more and more but I still vote. Been doing so since 1980. I'm not going to let them take the country without cheating.
