on political opponents and they're OK with the fact that Obama did it.

I mean, we've known they were OK with using the govt to attack political opponents for years now but they've always slid by by pretending it didn't happen.

Welp, no pretending left to do.

Yet, somehow I doubt a single one of those frickers is going to say, "ya know, this shite probably ain't a good thing even if it favored my team".

They should have been cool with Watergate then, it was just spying.

What they have demonstrated they're ok with now makes Watergate look like a campaign commercial.

Just like that nothing will be done because they are saying it was to protect Trump.

Obama makes George Bush look like Ron Paul when it comes to surveillance. The inner-authoritarianism of progressive politics has been exposed. They not only don't care about spying, they're cheerleading that it was done. And the worst thing is, if the government is doing this to Presidential candidates, what can they do the average Joe, about whom liberals claim to represent?

The left really can't even attempt to deny their totalitarian nature at this point.

They basically just have to embrace it now as "but we're the good guys so it's OK'.

What we've learned since Donald Trump took office:

Progressives have no problems defending and supporting:

Illegal immigrants over actual US citizens
Selective application of laws
Completely open borders
Hamas
MS-13
Weaponized Federal Government against private citizens
The Intellegence Community violating the constitution to spy on political opponents

It confounds me that anyone could continue to support and align with these progressive politicians and ideals. It is absolutely mind bendingly absurd to me that multiple National News Outlets are publicly and happily defending North Korea, Hamas, and MS13 with no push back and no shame. That's fricking insane. It's legitimately indescribably terrifying to me the state political discourse has reached in this country.

In a weird twist, the Obama regime may be the dirtiest since Nixon.

If you're looking for Fascists, they came to power from 08-16

The question is did the FBI have enough information to begin a counterintelligence investigation.

Part and parcel of any counterintelligence investigation is to determine if foreign agents are working with American citizens.

How exactly would you do that without surveillance of and conducting interviews with Americans suspected of working with foreign agents.

Think about the size and scope of a Presidential campaign. Every modern Presidential campaign has shady characters affiliated with them. If this is the basis for an FBI counterintelligence operation using FISA wiretaps, then every campaign would be surveilled. But not every one has been.

So why not spy on Hillary?

She is without question the shadiest person in the history of politics.

And you are ok with manufacturing evidence and misleading FISA judges to get permission to spy? Are you ok with the IC illegally leaking to damage the office of the potus?

Of course you are. As long as dems do it.

As per Grassley, SC was predicated on suspected criminal act not a green light for a fricking counterintelligence op.

Like a Page, who had been under surveillance by the FBI since 2013 because of his numerous trips to and interaction with Russian agents.

Like a Manafort, who had extensive ties to Russian factions in Ukraine.

Like a Stone, who was in contact with a Russian hackers admitted being in contact with Assange, and predicted the release of Podesta's emails by Wikileaks 2 weeks before they were released.

And none of them at that point had ever been convicted of a crime. Forgive me for thinking that visiting a foreign country, having business ties in a foreign country or being friends with a man who has done more for transparency in American government than any politician, is justification for an FBI counterintelligence operation and FISA wiretaps. It's absolutely disgusting that we're even debating this. All of the handwringing from the left during the Bush years was a show: y'all don't give two fricks about civil liberties.
