Age limit for congressmen

Watching the hearings yesterday, it was painful to watch Grassley and Leahy go back and forth. They came off as slow and a bit feeble compared to the younger, more vibrant members. Grassley looked lost, and some guy (probably his aid) kept whispering in his air, seemingly telling him what to say. I have always liked Grassley...so it's painful to say. He is 85 years old and it shows. Leahy is 78 and is a little more with it, but still a shell of his former self. Anybody think there ought to be an age limit? The argument against, I suppose, would be that voters should recognize when their day is done, and shouldn't vote for them when they get to that point. But then again, voters continue to vote for Maxine and Pelosi....so....

no to age limits, yes to term limits....
the latter will take care of the former....
and age is subjective. my 94 year old grandfather has more of his faculties then go 60 year olds....

How old was Strom Thurmond, 100?

Well, the minority speaker of the house still calls our current president by the name of a guy who hasn’t been in office since 2008.

Did you see Kamala Harris? She asked Kav “Have you ever discussed Bob Mueller with anyone who works at law firm XXX?”
Kav, “Well, I would need to see a list of the people who work at that firm to be sure.”
KH, “Why do you need to know who works at that firm???”
Kav, (long look at KH to be sure she isn’t kidding)
Sadly KH had no clue how ridiculous she sounded but continued to act incredulous. And this is the dems ringer for President. Go affirmative action!

I'd rather have I.Q. minimums.

Not for age limits, but there should be a mental competency test that they have to pass each year.

Even the Catholic Church has an age limit to be eligible to vote for Pope. Cardinals have to be less than 80 yrs old.
The US Congress is far more dynamic than the Papacy (meaning, you need to be on your toes).
While we're at it... there should be a 2 nap limit on Supreme Court Justices... Ginsburg has crashed on at LEAST 2 hearings. For Heaven's sake, generations could be affected by a SC ruling... and she's sleeping through the arguments!
