Bush started it, Obama continued it, Trump ordered us out, Biden followed through.
When we went Nation building we created a country propped up with Billions of dollars and military support. When you tell them we will no longer support you, what did you expect to happen? Same song as Viet Nam.
Finally this nightmare is coming to an end.

We’re back to where we started out at in the late 90s. The cycle will repeat itself in the future.
Nation building is idiotic. Show no mercy in the future the next time they kill Americans. Lay down a nuclear warhead in their Capitol and a few other major cities.

There is no such thing as nation building, either the nation (the people) is building itself... or its not.
If you occupy a foreign country by force, at some point if the population doesn't not fully surrender there are only two choices that I see.
1. mass extermination of the non-conforming, or
2. the invading force will eventually lose the will to maintain/fight (or the ability to fund)... they will leave and lose
This has been going on for thousands of years.

Well, they can... its just they won't. So... that leads to eventually failure i.e. lose.
These situations are never winnable.
This was very predictable as if one throws out the one of the two options, the only option left is losing.

Worked pretty well at the end of World War II. I don’t recall us having to invade Japan and wasting trillions of dollars a and thousands of lives.
Instead our idiotic government prefers a trial of 20 years of nation building that unfolded in the span of weeks.

bingo. nuking them saved US and jap lives versus us taking the mainland.
as soon as we had no interest in destroying them conventionally we could have used tactical nukes early on when sentiment was different. they blew it being there 20 years fricking around and babysitting.
we were not nuking north vietnam because of russia and china. nobody GAF about asscrackistan had we done it early on. the russians hated those mfers after losing a war there.

No one would’ve batted an eye if we had leveled Kabul in late September 2001.

the argument by many was if you want to remove state sponsors of terror in saddam and taliban why not take out iran and syria while you are at it?

bingo. i'm tactical nuking the whole mountain ranges where they hid. where there is nowhere to hide unless they want radiation poisining. get them out in the open in the valleys and wipe them the frick out. frick W and his nation building
