Here is a fact rarely, if ever, mentioned: 26 of the 50 states set their all-time high temperature records during the 1930s that still stand (some have since been tied). And an additional 11 state all-time high temperature records were set before 1930 and only two states have all-time record high temperatures that were set in the 21st century (South Dakota and South Carolina).

So 37 of the 50 states have an all-time high temperature record not exceeded for more than 75 years. Given these numbers and the decreased frequency of days of 100 degrees or higher, it cannot be said that either the frequency or magnitude of heat waves is more common today.

I like seeing them call these hot days global warming and the they list the hottest day on record in 1908. Lots of global warming back then I guess.

I think it’s due to the sun’s intensity. Maybe freak lineups of certain conditions. Either way, 95 or 105, it’s fricking hot.

I hate how so called meteorologists have clung to the “but it’s gonna feel like 105 degrees today” bullshite.

Board will dump him

Though accuweather in general is way more reasonable about climate change than TWC or weatherunderground.

And by reasonable i mean saying that man has some influence on the climate but it is not nearly as dire as the left says.

My local news now calls it the "feels like" temp. Are people so dumb that we cant use the term heat index anymore?

yes they are same with Wind Chill. I could be wrong but dont think we were producing a lot of CO2 back in the early 1900s. Pretty sure we will saving Europe's butt twice.
