I read a novel a couple of years ago called Lexicon by a guy Max Barry.
Every time something like this happens at politically convenient time, I think of that book. Makes me wonder if the premise of the story could actually happen.

People saw the hearing in real time.
That said, I agree..the repubs perfectly made the dems show themselves for the desperate simpletons they are.

I’m as suspicious of the deep state as most, but I tend to agree with this. I can’t quite go conspiracy minded enough to tie this in with the CIA.
