After fisa courts rejected the fbi's fake dossier,
FBI leaked the fake dossier in their hands to the media, and after the media published snippets of it, the FBI took those media reports back to the fisa courts in order to give more weight to their narrative and get approved for fisa warrants.


So FBI could definitely anonymously join gab, just to spew hate and make threats, and then, on an official level, highlight those threats and use them to give more weight to their narrative of right wingers being dangerous.

Recall that what spawned both Ruby Ridge and Waco was federal agents posing as civilians going to Randy Weaver and David Koresh... both of who did gunsmithing work on the side for extra cash or had family/friends that did... and asking for sawed-off shotguns.
