People too often say “you get what you voted for “, assuming that everyone in a blue state or city votes that way. However, it is absolutely true in this case.

I specifically asked what alternative to government action thru Family Court you folks would offer when two divorced parents cannot agree as to what constitutes the "best interest of the child."
As yet, no answer to that question.

Look, if this is just a Whining Martyr Thread (tm), the OP need only say so.
The fact is that communities get judges that reflect the values of that community. If the judge ceases to do so, the community has the option of removing/replacing the judge. Apparently, THIS judge reflects the values of THAT community in exercising judicial discretion to resolve parental dispute.
Again, give us a better alternative, if you have one.
