Trump needs to get it set up , so we can get started. It wouldn’t take 6 months before the democrats caved and came to the table to make a deal . With the wall being payed for they would loose leverage to ever get any DACA amnesty.

I think at the very beginning of the Trump Administration, it would have been a good idea to sell commemorative bricks for the wall, because that's when his supporters were most in a lather. But that opportunity has probably now past.

Trump or someone close to trump would have to set up and handle every aspect of a crowd funding attempt.
Because if they were to use one of the actual crowd funding services out there.. the crowd funding service would go for virtue signal points and delete the account, once a few million dollars were donated.
