She nails a bunch of stuff in this article. One of the most well written pieces on the fascination with socialism I have ever read.

My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity.
That is 100% correct.
quote:Another perfect description.
The answer is this, my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn’t live in the Great Depression, or live through two world wars, or see the rise and fall of socialism and communism. We don’t know what it’s like not to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don’t have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it’s spreading like a plague.

However, she decided to pursue her passion for current events and politics outside of a career in law through writing and being an advocate for the conservative movement.

She’s ANC 10 material.

She makes a lot of sense. Too much sense. Today's cool kids have been brainwashed into gimme this, gimme that, and I dont want to pay for anything. There's no hope for them.

She reminds me of a 26 year old me, except a lot of people probably want to have sex with her.

I sent this to both of my sons. Told them this is the kind of wife you’re looking for, or should be.

Ask my 99 year old father what poverty looks like and I'm sure you'll get a different answer from the likes of AOC.

Maybe a sign that the "woke" pendulum is starting to swing back the other way.
Good find. Never heard of the website (Foundation for Economic Education) though. How did you come across that article?

Article is a bit naive, but I appreciate some of what she said.
There are very good critiques of the modern American economy and culture that aren't Cortez tier shite for brains garbage. I understand why everyone wants to pick on the easy targets like Warren/Sanders/Cortez, but it's getting a bit tiresome.
The claim that we have a "free market" that needs to be protected from socialism is a dubious one. I wish we did have something resembling that, but we definitely don't.
The idea that young adults have never known anything but anything but prosperity is probably true, but it's also true that their generation is facing economic challenges unheard of in our history, particularly where housing, insurance, education, and Healthcare are concerned. They are right to claim that there is a major problem, even is some of these people are just lazy, whiny little bitches.

What a contrast to AOC.
There are good young people that contrast those she writes about. They just need to continue to find their voice, and don't let the suppression of ideas, thought, and opinion keep them quiet.
Well done Alyssa

She was on Tucker last night. She was a bit nervous, but otherwise very impressive and quite attractive.

Of course we don't. A select group of companies and politicians are in bed together. Politicians dont want anything to change and neither do the companies that have them in their back pockets.
Regulations ultimately just become large barriers to entry that only a select few have the resources to do. Its incredible there are so many socialists over people who just want more economic freedom for people with less means.
Of course the easy out is just to take money from those who have and give it to those who dont. That's a totally unsustainable model.

I agree that they are probably going to face economic challenges unheard of. However, I believe the majority of that will be of their own making. I will also add that the parents are a big part as well. There are some easy solutions but I doubt they will listen. They remind me of the millenial walking down the street looking at the phone while they walk into an open manhole.
