To be fair NC... it was TITA that asked the meaningless question. Without defining the time scale--no (scientific) answer is possible. The temperature today (in beautiful Austin, TX) is predicted to rise 17 degrees in 9 hours. So is a 0.7 degree rise over a century "unprecedented" rate of temperature change? Not at all. Not at all. I am surprised Iosh (apparently) didn't see the failure of the premise.

If TITA wanted to have a scientific discussion we'd first define the terms. Then we'd have a discussion about proxy resolution in both time domain an spatial distribution. But all we seem to get are cartoons...

So we started a thread based on cartoons drawn to compliment a pretend internet-scientist's clown study. We then migrate to baseless insinuations that current temperatures are changing at an "unprecedented" rate. Then we deflected into some sort of bigot-racist to-and-fro.
