It's culture. Those same parents likely wouldn't give a description of a local criminal to detectives.

Interesting. Though it does poke holes in the idea that fathers in black homes are the main issue, black murder rates were not "exponentially higher" back in the 50s and 60s.
The CDC data you linked averaged out their murder rates through the years 1950-1964 at 42 per 100,000 (for men). In 2020, that rate was 57 per 100,000. Both numbers are horrible, obviously, but it has gotten worse over time. Though, considering the 30% to ~80% fatherlessness shift we've seen over the last 60 years, it's hard to blame it on fathers not being in the home seeing how even when the numbers were in the 30% range their murder rates were still several orders of magnitude higher than other races when their fatherlessness rates were also in the 30% range.

“Parents”.. lol, like they are being raised by more than one parent. Or raised at all.
