Well you said it I didn't. Can we apply that to the posters on this board? Seems like a large percentage would not be true conservatives imo. Out of curiosity would a "real conservative" believe only certain people should vote?

Well I didn't see any post to that effect, but if there was then certainly, credit belongs to him or her. All I can say is "excellent point". And yes I did see that, good for you. And really the "this is so sad" didn't make me mad, so you didn't quite have the effect. But then again I'm just a miserable dumba** libtard, right? Well I pretty much think everyone that is a citizen should be entitled to vote. That's my idea. You're right, everyone has an idea, so that would be a real problem to implement.

I think if a convicted felon has served their time they should vote. One of the few things I agree with Rand Paul on. However, what I think isn't the determinative factor, current law says convicted felons can't vote (although there are certain methods to have your voting right restored I think).

Who are the real conservatives? Apparently, for some, they are conservatives they agree with or who agree with them, usually on rather narrow issues. Social conservatives in your post are consigned with the left to the pit of hell and Tea Partiers exiled to the desert like the proverbial scapegoat having had laid on them all of conservatism's sins, real and imagined. It's this balkanization of conservatism, evident within the ranks of its adherents, which does little more than advance the Left's purposes.
Conservatives now seem a collection of warring factions focused on narrow issues, treating symptoms and ignoring disease, while trying unsuccessfully to cobble disparate ideas together into a platform which will appeal to voters yet not fragment conservatism into a hundred pieces. They fail because they have forgotten for the most part what conservatism is and have allowed the left for too many years to define it in the public's perceptions.
